Kenkaku Tourou : Character profile
Stout as the immovable mountains, strong as the mighty tiger, and swift as rushing water, Kenkaku is flesh forged into folded steel. Despite his girth, he moves with grace bloomed from countless hours of courtroom tutelage.
During battle he dons a forest green O-yoroi chiseled with golden runes by the four wind monks. His Ho-Ate mask is a fearsome dragon opening its jaws to devour foes whole. Over his armor lies grey green robes bearing the symbol of the Lantern Lodge, his liege lords since exile from the Higashiyama clan.
When not crushing his foes, Kenkaku prefers the soft silks hemmed from the rice patties of Minkai. He still retains his samurai noble outfit adorned with blue sapphire lightning bolts, jade fireballs, and the coat of arms of his family’s house: Twin katanas over the mountain pass and silk road. For casual attire he wears green or grey monk robes, remnants of his Dojo training.
To Kenkaku there is order in all things. Order in the dance of steel. Order in the game of words. Order in the betrayal of the Higashiyama clan. Order in the death of his family. And Order in his vowed retribution. He will do anything to reclaim his shattered honor and actively seeks out honor duels with known combatants. He believes that only through putting himself in danger can he unlock the mysteries of the blade and return to Minkai a famed warrior, ready to challenge those that put his honor to the sword…
