  • >>> Encryption Code Tartarus <<< It’s not the team I would have picked. As it stands though, it does look like I have everyone I’m going to be able to get for my push against the Hanged Man.  After essentially accidentally recruiting Lockdown in the dustup with VIPER, Talon, Lionheart...

  •   October, 7 2012             The day started on a down note. I had gone to find The Shade and have a "conversation" about why he saw fit to dissapear at the docks but it seems his reputation for being hard to find is somewhat deserved. Coming up empty...

    About this game

The Meta-Human Registration act is being temporarily lifted, due to the efforts of some key heroes. However, the government is keeping a very close eye to make sure things do not return to the time of meta-humans feeling that they are above the law or that the ends justify the means. The government expects responsible heroes and there is a zero tolerance on irresponbile actions.

The Shade is a dark vigillante that operated under the radar during the registration years. However, he has come out of semi-retirement because the registration reigns have been lifted and because his old nemesis the Hanged Man has returned. The Hanged Man is a master villain that has never been caught (some believe he is an urban myth). Although, the Shade knows differently.

The Shade intends to recruit a force of meta-human combatants that can help him take down the Hanged Man's operations. This force will consist of meta-human's that were left disenfranchised and isolated during the registration years. Many of them are recruitment fodder to fill the ranks of the Hanged Man's enforcers, but The Shade hopes to get to a number of his hand picked choices before they fall victim to the persuasions of The Contessa (one of the Hanged Man's high ranking operatives).

The Hanged Man has formed a Cabal of villains who have taken over most of the United States' organized crime. Only a force that is willing to operate outside of the law, and the government's watchful eye, can hope to challenge this criminal network.

The Shade has gathered his task force of meta-humans to help take down the Hanged Man and his operations. However, the Shade only gets two of his top five metas on his list. His final roster consists of Lockdown, Zen, Lionheart & Talon.

As the Shade tries to begin by turning this team into a cohesive fighting force, they are required to respond to a a hostage situation at the HQ of Victor's Industries (a bio-medical firm). The Shade doesn't feel they are ready but decides this will have to be their trial by fire.
