Lydia Welle AKA Miss Investigation is the little sister of Sue Welle. She always looked up to her big sister, both figuratively and literally. When she gained superpowers, the first thing she wanted to do was follow in her sister's footsteps. Unfortunately for her, it takes years of book learning and other such things to become a proper lawyer. However, it didn't take nearly as long to become an investigator, and she took to that like a fish to water. 

Since her powers were mostly focused on physics, being able to absorb and release kinetic energy, she found that she could act like some of the noir detectives of old without all the bruises and blood. She wound up getting hired on directly through the law firm, much to the mild distress of her older sister.
