    About

    I dig roleplaying games.

I play in a weekly 4th Edition D&D game, and DM a weekly 4th Edition D&D game set in the Dark Sun campaign setting.

My experience is basically limited to D&D - I grew up reading and re-reading 2nd Edition materials, and playing the various PC games obsessively, but I never actually sat down at a table and played the game until 4th Edition was released. I love the balance of it, it's a very tightly designed game (until you start adding in supplements).

If there's a major problem with 4E, though, it's that it doesn't encourage roleplay enough; too many games feel like mechanical dungeon crawls, games better played with mouse and keyboard really.

That's why I'm excited to try out Hunter: The Reckoning, and the Storyteller system in general. Aside from the setting (I also dig Horror!), the idea that it's a system that prioritizes roleplay over rollplay is encouraging to me.

My RP schedule is basically full, so I can't join any additional games, but should I stop participating in one of my three weeklys, I'm interested in anything that is RP-friendly, with the following themes: low-fantasy; post-apocalyptic; horror; cyberpunk.
