Just here to check it out for now. I have a job that has me travelling regularly, and do enjoy RPGs and thought this may be a workable solution (with the correct group of compatible style gamers).
Not a fan of the "Power Gaming" style, and also dislike games written to pander to that style (like newer editions of D&D). I am definitely an old school RPG player/GM, like challenge, and slow character develop so a greater sense of value is placed on any character enhancements gained from experience.
I tend to favour "Old School" fantasy, or creative and inventive fantasy that is not Power Gamer oriented. I would really enjoy something nautical themed (pirates etc.) and am interested in horror themed games as well (Dark low fantasy would be awesome). I am also a historical re-enactor, and am a huge fan of the 17th and 18th centuries... So games focused on those eras (either semi-historical, or fantasy parody) would also greatly draw me.
