So the other guys ID'd the stalker in the cape as American Eagle, a super-patriot they teamed up with briefly some months back. Seems he donated some genetic material to a government agency and now there's a bunch of clones tailing us. The fact that they pursued us in our secret identities is troubling.

Anyway, three of them showed up outside of the Gotham bar we'd stopped at. I tried talking to one, but he took it as a sign that we wanted to brawl, and brawl we did. A few thousand dollars worth of property damage and some bruises later, we'd incapacitated all three. Seems they are under some sort of brainwashing for an unknown third party; we were able to find some devices under their skin, but Donovan and I had no luck tracking it. 

Then the Fly suddenly realized something and took off in a buzz. Must have had an appointment elsewhere?

The Bat took the three clones and Donovan and I assisted him on removing a holographic chip from one's bicep. He's going to do us a favor and use his special flying rodent powers to track the signal coming out of it. Personally I suspect its going to lead back to some super-secret government project - we're a danger to too many vested interests.

Donovan and Batman had a pissing contest before we left his penthouse. Seems the Caped Crusader also paid him an uninvited house visit some time back. I don't know the full story, but I felt a distinct chill enter the room. 

Talked to Donovan about it, told him we can trust Batman. He agreed but was worried about his daughter (!). Seeing as we're a team now and need to watch each other's backs, I decided to take off my mask and tell him my real name. Its a risk, I guess, but if I can't trust a man who has been entrusted with patrolling a whole galactic sector...?

Donovan roped me into staying at his place in uptown Gotham and helping him scare this kid who was bugging his daughter. I must have been feeling punchy because I agreed. Met his kid (she seems real nice), he took the couch while I slept in his bed - it was a lot nicer than my cot. Had another nightmare, this time about some sort of inverse Flash guy and some lab tech he called "Barry". Real weird; need to discuss it with the real guy when I get a chance. 

Oh, and Donovan uses a wheelchair! Seems the lantern ring lets him use his legs, but in his regular life he's paralyzed. Could have knocked me over with a feather, but my respect for the guy shot through the roof. Makes my life seem downright easy.

I joined Donovan in costume the next morning as he shadowed this Virgil out of his row house. I was ready for some sort of low-rent thug, but he looked like a pretty average kid to me. Donovan insisted we put the fear of God into him, though, so we went to the roof of his house and scooped him off of the street with blue ring magic. 

That's when this kid started to spark like a Tesla coil and produced his own spandex outfit. Turns out he's a metahuman too! Goes by the name of "Static"; even saw him at the SMART conference some weeks back. Donovan and Virgil looked ready to get into a real fight, so I stepped in and stopped it from escalating. We talked for a bit and Donovan agreed to cut the kid some slack (turns out his intentions toward his daughter are honorable); even gave him an internship with his company. Hopefully they can work things out between the two of them without putting her at risk. It makes sense for Donovan to be protective, but Static/Virgil seems genuinely sincere.

Had a few words with Donovan about the risks we all run as jumped up vigilantes, shook hands, then got a ride back to my neck of the Bronx.

Reminder to self: get cracking on some sort of rooftop transport. Riding around on blue magic carpets and arks is nice and all, but I almost became street pizza during the fight with the Eagle clones. Also, its not very dignified to have to ask the Fly for a lift.
