Pathfinder Society

Pathfinder Society

This Post

In the beginning.

Right so this is the first blog post of my Infrno Pathfinder Society game.

I've been fortunate to find a few people interested, and hopefully as time goes by we'll have others come around perhaps even to run their own games. (I won't deny wanting to USE some of that GM credit Ill be earning.)

The game table is up, and I was even able to put together a craptastic map for the first scenario. It isnt the map officially posted in the adventure but I cannot seem to find a proper image for that, plus I'm rotten when it comes to using Photoshop so deleting the legend and the marks on the one provided in my .pdf just isn't an option.

Tokens have been a pain to find, getting "minis" for this game seems to be nigh unto impossible without dropping a bunch of cash. This is another example of my non-proficiency with Photoshop, of course.

We'll be doing the "Devil We Know" series starting with the first one.

I could be asked why I chose to do a season 1 scenario, and anyone who wanted to pose that question is perfectly right to do so. It's outdated, provides only the faction missions for the original five, and chances are that most experienced players have already participated in it (leaving them SOL for being elegible to play unless we cannot find enough players to fill four seats); however, it's also a fantastic adventure, and one I never got an oppurtunity to run for my own live group at home.

We (my home group) started with the City of Strangers and immediately moved to the season 2 stuff, now my group is working with fresh characters in season 3, pushing ourselves to hit level 11 as fast as possible without sacrificing too much of the fun, just to get ourselves ready for running through "Tournament of the Ruby Phoenix".

So when I made up my mind to run a PFS game series on Infrno, I decided it would be awesome to do all the scenarios I had previously passed up with my home group.

(By the way, I'd like to point out that NO ONE ever seems willing to run any Pathfinder Society stuff on here, reaffirming the sad fact that table top gaming is the only group sport where no one ever wants to be coach or captain)

Anyways, like I said we'll be starting with "Shipyard Rats" and going from there. I plan to make blog posts of how the game's going after each session and what was a highlight of the night. After we're done with this particular arc I hope the other players will have ideas of what adventures would sound great and what season (if just any one in particular) they want to concentrate on.

As always: Peace, Love, Mutant Supremacy.
