    We Burn Worlds: Fango Rojo

We had 3 out of 4 players at the table for the first session, and we managed to get through the World Burner, after a few weird technical glitches. Here is the world we came up with.

    Fango Rojo

    Galactic Location: Comoran Interior World

Fango hovers at the very Eastern edge of the Comoran Worlds, dangerously close to the Void.

    Atmospheric Conditions: Alien-Life Supporting

Fango's atmosphere consists largely of Methane and Hydrogen. Atmospheric pressures are significantly higher than those of human-life sustaining worlds.

    Hydrology: Predominantly Liquid

The surface of Fango is covered with a liquid ocean, punctuated with tiny reef-like islands, although these are too small, fragile and unstable to be used for building upon. The ocean itself is relatively rich with Astatine, a very rare element used in the production of energy weapon capacitors. Despite the harsh conditions, several forms of life exist in the depths, most notably the Craken.

    Topography: Artificially Created Environs

In order to siphon the Astatine from the ocean, massive mobie, floating factories were constructed. There are also a few stationary undersea stations anchored to the sea floor.

    Tech Index: Low

Fango is capable of producing Hammer vessels (though fairly expensively, as many of the materials need to be imported).

Dominant Form of Government: Merchant League

Fango is ostensibly ruled by a corporate council of mining and manufacturing concerns. In reality, it is primarily controlled by the Palavar-Arvin Corporation (PAC), who maintains a functional monopoly on all Astatine mining operations on the planet.

    Factions

There are several factions on Fango

    Indiginous Lifeforms: Craken

The seas of Fango are dominated by the relatively intelligent Craken, a species of pack-hunting cephalopods.

    Corporate Entity: Ninsk/Fischer Operations (NFO)

NFO is the second largest mining and manufacturing concern on the planet. They've been angling to get ahead of the PAC for a long time.

    Organized Crime

Several criminal outfits exist, catering to the PAC's slave workforce, providing access to offworld information and media. There is also a healthy black market sex trade.

    Slaves

The Palavar-Arvin Corporation employs a slave workforce, purchased from noble houses who have fallen on hard times.

    Predominant Military: Levy

The primary fighting forces of Fango are a mix of human and Mukhadish slaves. Occasionally, Lords-Pilot are contracted from neighboring worlds to train or lead the conscripts.

    Planetary Attitude: Paranoid

Fango had previously been held by the Vaylen, but the PAC, with help from the pilotry from nearby Comoran worlds, managed to drive them off and retake the planet. The corporation uses the fear of the worm to help keep the populace docile and malleable.

    Primary Export: Raw Materials

Astatine is a rare material used in the manufacture of weapon capacitors and hyperexpansion drives, and is thus extremely valuable to the Comoran militaries. The corporations that dominate the planet strip out the chemical from the oceans and process it for shipping to manufacturers.

    Level of Quarantine: Advanced Quarantine

Slaves, livestock, pets and food items are screened at a semi-secure orbital station before being allowed planetside.

Level of Regulation: Moderately Regulated (2)

Sex is banned for the slave labor force, as is Military Manufacture. Infrastructure - specifically off-world information and entertainment - is regulated.
